Security Officer - Hartlepool
We have a part time vacancy available working a regular rota on one of our largest Educational clients in Hartlepool; the rota is working Monday to Thursday evening shifts on a permanent basis.
The main role of the Security Officer will be to provide security support and assistance to staff, visitors and a diverse range of students in order to maintain a safe and secure campus.
The role involves actively working as part of a large team to deliver a first class service. The candidate needs to be flexible and able to adapt to working in part of a large and diverse campus.
It is essential that the candidate has an understanding that situations need to be dealt with safely and effectively, situations will often require personal judgement calls so the individual must be confident in making such decisions.

Some of the duties will include:
•Ensuring no unauthorised persons access site
•Taking charge of the general welfare of students
•Undertaking patrols and inspections in accordance to the site specific assignment instructions
•Assisting staff and visitors on site
•Maintaining that all incidents are logged and reported to the control room
•Ensuring Health and Safety polices are adhered to
Security officer requirements:
•Experience working in the security industry is desirable
•Valid Frontline SIA Licence, either Security Guarding or Door Supervisor
•Computer Literate
•Smart and Presentable
•Good communication skills
•5 year checkable work history in line with BS 7858
•Report writing skills
•Excellent time management skills
•Ability to think on their feet and excellent decision making skills
