Fresh support to security apprenticeships
The Prime Minister has welcomed continued efforts to provide opportunities within the security industry for young people through the 100 in 100 campaign.
The 100 in 100 campaign, now in its fourth year, challenges the industry to place 100 new apprentices in the 100 days leading up to the Security Excellence Awards. In previous years this target has been greatly exceeded with as many as 1,500 new opportunities created for young people looking at careers in security.
"Apprenticeships are an important way of giving young people the chance to reach their potential, giving them what it takes to get a good job and helping them to secure finances in the year ahead" says the Prime Minister.
The security industry aims to build apprenticeship programmes which are rigorous, responsive and deliver on the high quality training which businesses need in order to grow. The 100 in 100 campaign has served to energise the sector and raise awareness for the many career opportunities available within the security sector.
