Refined With a Forecast of Funny as Constant Security Chairman Takes Centre Stage

This November, in a bid to raise as much money as possible for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, Mick Lee Chairman of Constant Security joined up with 8 other high profile business leaders from across the region to take to the stage at the City Hall in Sheffield in a bid to find out who is the funniest of them all.

All of the participants each delivered a 5 minute comedy sketch to a packed out venue where 4 judges decided their funny fate.

Funny Business Sheffield is a unique event organised by Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, in association with the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The comical contestants underwent a five week training regime with policeman turned creative comic, Alfie Moore before bravely taking to the stage to showcase their new-fangled talents in their home town.

The event was a great success and included some very influential business people from across the city who helped to raise an amazing total of £28,000.00 for the charity.

“As well as raising sponsorship and hitting this fantastic target, we were all just as eager to help raise the profile of this local cancer hospital and highlight the vital services which it provides for cancer patients across our region.

It was great that the event was a sell-out and I hope this contribution really helps to make a difference for people receiving treatment at Weston Park Hospital today and in the future.”

The money raised from individual sponsorship and ticket sales went towards funding a wide variety of projects for Weston Park Hospital, including the completion of the new Clinical Research Unit and the Day Case reception refurbishment.
